Unlocking Potential, Supporting Families

At Bright Futures, we go beyond traditional day programs. Our mission is to empower adults through nurturing support, enriching activities, and opportunities that foster independence and growth.

What truly sets us apart? Extended after-hours care. While most programs close at 3:00 PM—leaving families struggling to juggle work and caregiving—we stay open later, providing a safe, engaging, and supportive environment well beyond the typical day.

Our extended hours don’t just benefit participants—they bring peace of mind to families, knowing their loved one is cared for, fulfilled, and enjoying meaningful experiences. From fun community outings to educational classes and social activities, our after-hours program is designed to keep participants inspired, active, and excited to return each day.

At Bright Futures, we’re here for your loved one—and for your whole family.

What We Do

At Bright Futures, our mission is to help participants discover and cultivate their passions. We believe that when passion is nurtured, it can develop into meaningful, employable skills that create a purposeful and fulfilling life. After all, if you love what you do, it never feels like work.

Collaboration is at the heart of what we do. We partner with families, guardians, counselors, and other support networks to ensure our services complement existing systems. Our goal is to bridge the gap between effort and success by offering hands-on, real-world learning opportunities. We want to focus on our after hours care and program so participants have somewhere to go after 3:00 PM which is when most day programs end and that time is inconvienent for most families.

Skill Areas We Focus On
Each participant’s individualized curriculum may include:

Self-Help Skills: menu planning, grocery shopping, laundry, household maintenance
Personal Development: fitness, hygiene, confidence-building
Vocational Development: hard and soft job skills
Community Integration: based on each individual’s goals and needs
Communication Training: adapted communication methods
Independent Living Skills: purchasing, mobility training, daily routines
Social Development: appropriate behavior, building relationships, community safety
Education Opportunities: inclusive college classes on integrated campuses
Transition Support: customized training to ease the school-to-program pathway
Behavior Support Services

Our approach incorporates the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)—the most extensively researched and evidence-based method for addressing challenging behaviors. Alongside behavioral training, each participant receives supportive skill development designed to help them grow toward their unique goals.

We want to provide a place for our participants to go for after hours. Our after hours day program is full of fun activities and provides families with care beyond all of the surrounding day centers.

At Bright Futures, no two journeys look the same. Every participant receives a personalized plan—a custom “bridge” designed to help them achieve their own version of success.
